My first thought when I hear “garlic” is vampires and Italian food… But apparently its much more useful than warding off the sparkly immortals and cooking fine cuisine!!! I still might keep some around in case my creepy New Zealand white rabbits with the red eyes escape their cages… I’m pretty sure they’re bloodsuckers…
“Garlic is a fabulous superfood that is used in cooking, as well as in herbal medicine. It’s properties rival many other herbs as it can be used in the treatment of illness as well as disease prevention in humans and animals. Garlic has a measurable amount of germanium, which is an immune boosting mineral and is a fabulous antioxidant.
Garlic is one of my favorite herbs to grow because it is so easy. It’s ‘plant-it-and-forget-it’ quality is what makes garlic a must-have on our homestead every year.”
