Today we bring you a simple recipe for rabbit meat burgers. This is a great way to replace red meat or just another way to prepare your fresh rabbit meat.
Rabbit Meat Burgers
Ingredients (makes 2 large burgers)
1 onion, finely chopped
1.5 cups minced rabbit meat
.5 cup minced pork belly (bacon will work in a pinch)
4 fresh sage leaves, finely chopped
Salt & Pepper to taste
3 tbsp olive oil
- Mix together all of the ingredients together, except oil. Season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, divide the mixture in half and shape into two large burgers.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden-brown and cooked through.
- Serve the burger with your favorite buns and fixings!
