Rabbit Meat Burgers

Today we bring you a simple recipe for rabbit meat burgers.  This is a great way to replace red meat or just another way to prepare your fresh rabbit meat.

Rabbit Meat Burgers

Ingredients (makes 2 large burgers)

1 onion, finely chopped
1.5 cups minced rabbit meat
.5 cup minced pork belly (bacon will work in a pinch)
4 fresh sage leaves, finely chopped
Salt & Pepper to taste
3 tbsp olive oil


  1. Mix together all of the ingredients together, except oil. Season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, divide the mixture in half and shape into two large burgers.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden-brown and cooked through.
  3. Serve the burger with your favorite buns and fixings!
